Command line (acc)

Every acc command and flag, and the environment variables the engine reads.

Running acc#

From a checkout, run pnpm acc <command> (or node packages/daemon/src/cli.ts <command>). The daemon package also has an acc launcher at packages/daemon/bin/acc. Running acc with no command prints a short summary.

Commands that talk to a running daemon (open, status, kill-all, release, context) find it through daemon.json in the data folder, trying --data-dir, then ACC_DATA_DIR or the default data folder, then the demo's. They authenticate with the install token, which only your user can read.

acc daemon#

Start the supervisor and the dashboard on 127.0.0.1.

acc daemon [--config <file>] [--port <n>] [--no-probe]
FlagMeaning
--configThe configuration file. See Configuration lookup.
--portPort to listen on. Default: ACC_PORT, then server.port, then 7317.
--no-probeSkip probing the agents' CLIs at start

It prints the URL, the config and data folders, the tracker (and whether it is a dry run), and a one-time sign-in link. Ctrl+C shuts it down gracefully; agent runs keep going and are reattached on the next start.

acc open#

Print and open a one-time sign-in link for a browser. The link is valid for 2 minutes.

acc open [--print] [--data-dir <dir>]

--print prints the link without opening a browser. open also finds the demo's daemon.

acc onboard#

List every copy of each supported vendor CLI on this machine (on PATH and inside app bundles), with versions, the pinned copy (*), newer builds you could pin with binary:, the login command and the agents configured for it. One Connect never bundles or proxies these tools.

acc doctor#

Check the setup without starting anything: whether the data folder is durable, the configuration parses, the repository is a git repository, the integration and protected branches exist, the tracker mode, the configured agents, and whether a daemon is running.

acc check#

Run committed-source checks in the configured Docker runtime, without an agent or a daemon.

acc check --config <file> [--sha <ref>] [--worktree <dir>] [--only test,lint] [--log-dir <dir>]
FlagMeaning
--shaThe commit to check. Default HEAD.
--worktreeCheck another worktree of the same repository
--onlyComma-separated check names. Default: required_checks, or all checks.
--log-dirWhere to write check logs. Default: a new temporary folder.

It prints a JSON result with the SHA, the image ID, the runtime and each check's result, and exits with status 1 when any check failed or was unavailable. See Project checks in Docker.

acc status#

Print every agent with its status, its Now item and how many items are queued Next, followed by open alerts.

acc kill-all and acc release#

acc kill-all # stop every run now and block dispatch
acc release # release the kill switch

kill-all asks the daemon to engage the kill switch. If the daemon is unreachable, it kills every runner process group directly, after verifying each runner's PID from its run folder.

acc context#

acc context # show the vault and code graph status as JSON
acc context sync # rewrite the vault notes and rebuild the code graph
acc context query <text> # search notes and the code graph together

acc bench context#

acc bench context [--graphify <bin>] [--embedding-model <name>] [--json]

Run the context benchmark on a disposable corpus. --graphify adds the Graphify arm, --embedding-model adds the hybrid arm with an already-installed local model, and --json prints the full result. Exits with status 1 on any regression.

acc rebuild#

Rebuild the projected state by replaying the entire event log, then save a fresh snapshot. Run it with the daemon stopped.

acc project#

A machine interface used by the Mac app's project registry. Each subcommand prints one JSON object and runs no project scripts.

SubcommandFlagsDoes
inspect--dirDescribe a repository for onboarding
prepare--dir, --config-dir, --nameBind a repository and write its generated configuration
describe-config--configDescribe an existing configuration
clone-plan--url, --parent, --namePlan a clone and return its digest
clone--url, --parent, --name, --digestRun exactly the planned clone
init-plan--dirPlan a git init and return its digest
init--dir, --digestRun exactly the planned git init

Environment variables#

VariableUsed byMeaning
ACC_CONFIGaccConfiguration file, when --config is not given
ACC_DATA_DIRengineData folder. Default: ~/Library/Application Support/AgentControlCenter on macOS, $XDG_STATE_HOME/agent-control-center on Linux.
ACC_ALLOW_TEMP_DATA_DIRengine1 allows a data folder inside a temp directory. Development only.
ACC_PORTacc daemonPort, when --port is not given
ACC_DEMO_DIRdemo, accWhere the demo keeps its data
ACC_DEV_ORIGINacc daemonComma-separated extra origins allowed for development. Default: the Vite dev server on port 5173.
ACC_ALLOWED_HOSTSacc daemonComma-separated extra Host values to accept
ACC_DAEMON_URLpnpm dev:webDaemon the Vite dev server proxies to. Default http://127.0.0.1:7317.
ACC_LOCAL_MODELS_DIR, ACC_LLAMA_SERVERMac app engineSet by the app: the bundled local models and the llama-server binary
ACC_DESKTOPMac app engineSet by the app; the daemon then prints no sign-in link
LINEAR_API_KEYLinear trackerUsed when no key is stored in the Keychain
